About the Founder

Welcome to Miller & Co, a business born from a vision of creativity, care, and education. I’m Sophia Miller, the founder of this growing enterprise, and I’m thrilled to share the journey that brought Miller & Co to life.

As someone with a deep-rooted passion for learning, I have spent much of my life exploring the interplay of education, creativity, and personal growth. My background is multifaceted—spanning roles as a teacher, amateur filmmaker, writer, and activist—each chapter contributing to my understanding of how meaningful learning experiences can shape lives. My goal has always been to use these skills to foster environments where people, especially children, can thrive. I remember my dad telling me that age-old expression, "Give a man a fish, and he'll eat for a day; teach him to fish, and he'll eat for life. This is how I see education, as a tool with which we can 'fish,' navigating life with skills and the ability to think independently, critically, and with a sense of awe. 

A Vision for the Future

At its heart, Miller & Co is about more than just education—it’s about creating a community. A community where educators are supported to bring their best selves to their work, where families feel confident in their children’s growth, and where young learners can dream big and achieve even bigger. I’m proud to lead a team that shares this vision and works tirelessly to bring it to life every day.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to see Miller & Co expand its reach, continue to innovate, and find new ways to make a difference. Whether it’s through curriculum development, mindfulness practices, or creative collaborations, our focus will always be on delivering quality and care.

A Personal Note

On a personal level, I believe that creativity and education are two sides of the same coin. They fuel one another, and they’re both at the core of who I am and what Miller & Co represents. With this company, I’ve found a way to channel my energy and passions into something I hope will leave a lasting impact.

Fun Fact! My 5 character strengths are spirituality, curiosity, perspective, leadership, and creativity. I strive to let these permeate through the business and to help (through osmosis) transmit these qualities into my students.
